Local Association Newsletter Contest

This year, the NEOEA Public Relations Committee will once again sponsor a local association newsletter contest.

Each year, the PR Committee honors outstanding newsletters submitted by local associations within NEOEA. NEOEA attempts to recognize outstanding newsletters from small, medium, and large associations and from local affiliates of all types, including Education Support Personnel, DDs, Career Centers, and Higher Education locals. Winners are recognized at the fall Representative Assembly and in News and Views and receive a plaque honoring them for their work.

Newsletters judged outstanding usually show a BALANCE OF COVERAGE of news from NEA, OEA, and NEOEA, with special emphasis on local association news.

Entering the newsletter contest:

Submit one copies each of three different issues (may include online newsletters) which were published between May 1, 2011, and
April 30, 2012.
Fill out the application form (download below).
Faxed entries are not considered; copies must be postmarked by Friday, April 27, 2012.
Be sure to include the association name in full (no initials, please) and the editor's name.
