Mill Creek Park was established in 1891 by as the first park district in Ohio. Mill Creek Park is the largest area of the MetroParks encompassing over 2,658 acres of the MetroParks’ 4,500+ acres. Mill Creek Park offers 20 miles of drives and 45 miles of trails. Mill Creek flows through the Park in a northerly direction supplying water to three lakes. Mill Creek Park extends along the Mill Creek Valley from Western Reserve Road to the confluence of Mill Creek and the Mahoning River.
Two simultaneous tours will be held at the Ford Nature Center, 840 Old Furnace Road, Youngstown, OH 44511. You may choose the activities based on your interests. Family and friends are welcome to attend this free event which will culminate with a picturesque hike at 11:00 through a small section of the many trails.
