The educators who established the North Eastern Ohio Teachers Association in 1869 could not have anticipated many of the changes which have happened in our profession: higher academic standards for teachers, educator unionization, high-stakes testing, and the inclusion of classified staff alongside classroom teachers.
They might recognize NEOEA Day in its present form, but they certainly could not have anticipated the internet and its ability to make information widely available and searchable. We’ve been hearing that many of our members aren’t using the paper catalog to identify their program choices for NEOEA Day, so we’re changing how we make that information available.
